Today I went along to Redeye Hothouse at the Leeds Art Gallery. This was a all day event where there was 15 speakers, all of which were photographers and they all had about 10minutes each and they presented some work of theirs and explained and told us about them and their work.
It was great to see such a vast range of work styles and ideas. With all these people being not 'professional' photographers it was great to see their work and hear them talk about it.
There was also chances during the breaks to view some other work which were being displayed on stands outside the room with the speakers, and got to have a talk with some other practitioners and look at their work, some had leaflets and some had books to view.
Overall, it was a great day out and was so inspiring and fresh to see new and upcoming work.
