Really beneficial day with TextBook Studio today. Discussing our courses' end of year exhibition catalogue. Being shown all the different possible designs, paper types, foil embossing, colours, printing types and sizes that we have to consider for our final book. The vast amount of options available to do is endless so it was key for us to come along with a init idea and work with that.
Have a sample book of all the GFSmith paper types and TextBook studio's foil options and then some actual published book examples to hold and flick through, all with various combinations of elements on. It was all very inspiring and idea provoking.
With this trip being for the end of year catalogue it was also very beneficial for my Final Major Project ideas, the inspirations from the books and the various paper types etc has given me more in depth knowledge about possible options.
Additionally, the space where Textbook Studios are based is so dreamy ! The studio is unreal, so light, airy and arty, absolutely dream office space.
